Judge Megan Goldish - Community Focused Illinois Legal Professional
Responsible for overseeing wide-ranging civil, criminal, felony, and misdemeanor cases, Judge Megan Goldish presides within the Circuit Court of Cook County’s Domestic Violence Court Division in Illinois. She reviews confidential records, motions each morning, and hears orders of protection and other orders throughout the working day.
In addition, Judge Megan Goldish presides over a high-volume domestic violence court call daily and handles felony preliminary hearings. She maintains an empathetic and receptive attitude in every matter, understanding the matter at hand and rendering fair decisions.
Judge Goldish holds a juris doctor from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law earned magna cum laude. Over the years, she has been a strong proponent of creating lasting opportunities for women in the legal field. She received the Women's Bar Association’s Mary Heftel Hooton Award for her efforts.
Moreover, Judge Goldish mentors attorneys and judges who have recently entered the profession. Active in the community, she serves on the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Executive Committee and is co-president of the Junior Board of the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind. In 2021, she received the Diversity Scholarship Foundation's Advocate for Diversity Award.
